Jim Rider was the primarily marketer and driving force behind establishing the German clinic, Fachklinik für Orthopädie Stenum, as an international destination for Artificial Disc Replacement (ADR) surgery.
Jim Rider’s contributions transformed the clinic into what it is today (often referred to simply as “Stenum Hospital”).
As the first American Patient, In April 2003, Jim Rider, a sales specialist and marketing expert, traveled to the clinic in Germany for Disc Replacement Surgery.
Jim was was not offered the procedure by doctors in the US.
The hospital administrators at Stenum were excited by this, as he was their first American patient for the surgery.
By Establishing an International Program Jim Rider and the hospital formed a partnership, with the administrators telling him, “Go home and send Americans back to Stenum.”
In Creating the Brand, Stenum Hospital, and an Online Presence Jim Rider started a journal called “Stenum and Back,” registered StenumandBack.com, and published his story. He then created and registered StenumHospital.com, which took the program to a new level and made the hospital an international destination for spine surgery.
Jim Rider also later registered ArtificialDiscReplacement.com and other related websites.
Jim Rider’s marketing efforts led to a large grant from the local government, which funded a huge renovation and expansion of the clinic.
After this the name Fachklinik für Orthopädie – Stenum was replaced by a large Stenum Hospital on the building, signifying its growth and the adoption of the name Jim Rider had coined.
Jim Rider became the Patient Consultant for Disc Replacement and is the owner of ArtificialDiscReplacement.com, guiding other international patients through the process.
For over two decades Jim invested his time, effort, and resources into educating people regarding the disc replacement option and establishing the Stenum Hospital brand.
Due to Jim Rider’s efforts Stenum Hospital has become known worldwide as a top destination for orthopedic care and his surgeon and business partner Dr. Karsten Ritter-Lang has established his dominance as a leading spine surgeon.
Jim Rider now has grown his online network which is now extensive and dominates search results and social media.
Thousands have come for surgery, many hundreds of thousands have learned about disc replacement options.
